Reholder Service

We break out your vinyl record from another company's encapsulation in preparation to encapsulate it in the VMG holder. Please note that optional services such as cleaning and sticker removal ARE available for submissions that include the reholder option. NOTE: By selecting the reholder option, you agree that there is a risk of damage to the submission's contents during the break-out process. VMG is not responsible for damage caused during the breakout process.

Applicable to submissions with all service options. NOTE: If VMG is experiencing a heavy backlog, you will be notified if we expect it to take longer than 15 days to complete the submission.

This option does not include any cleaning services. NOTE: If we have a heavy backlog, you will be notified if we expect it to take longer than 5 days to complete the submission.

Audible Grading *

Each disc is carefully listened to in its entirety to determine the audible grade. Factors such as surface noise, groove damage, scratches and other factors help us determine the audible grade. The audible grade is indicated with its dedicated grade based on our numerical scale.

Cleaning Services

For albums that have an odor such as smoke or mold, VMG can treat the surfaces of the vinyl record sleeve and other paper contents with ozone to reduce the odor before encapsulation or soft-grading.

VMG's team of experts have techniques to remove surface dirt and can, to an extent 'brighten' the appearance of the shrink, thereby rejuvenating the shrink.

Note: selecting this add-on doesn’t guarantee sticker removal. If VMG’s team of experts determine that removal of the sticker is likely to damage the sleeve, shrink or uncover pre-existing damage, rather than attempting to proceed, we will let you know that and refund the fee associated with this service.

We 'brighten' the appearance of the outer sleeve of the vinyl record by using industry standard dry-cleaning techniques. NOTE: dry cleaning is less effective on sleeves with gloss finish. Best results are noticed in matte paper finishes.

Photo Package *

Up to 10 pictures before slabbing to exhibit key hallmarks of the submission. All images will be emailed to the submitter upon completion of the encapsulation service.

Custom-made double-box cartons with all packaging materials needed to ship up to 5 albums. Built to last multiple shipments.

Vinyl-to-Digital Transfer *

Transferred with the utmost care and high-end audiophile equipment, albums are recorded in the FLAC format for easy transportability and in high resolution (192k/24b) for the most enjoyable listening experience. No tonal or dynamic processing is performed.
