Shipping is always rounded up to the nearest group of five, which means the more albums you submit at once, the more you save per record.

Why we price shipping this way

VMG slabs are built for protection and long-term preservation. Our shipping rates reflect secure packaging, insured return transit, and handling designed specifically for graded vinyl.

Grouping submissions into five-album increments allows us to ship more efficiently, and pass that efficiency on to collectors, investors, and bulk submitters.

Tip for collectors and investors:
Submitting multiple albums at once significantly reduces the per-album cost of return shipping, making bulk grading the most cost-effective option.

International customers:
Return shipping for orders outside the United States will be invoiced separately after grading is complete.

• Up to $100 → $2

• $100.01 – $500 → $10

• $500.01 – $1,000 → $20

• $1,000.01 – $2,000 → $40

• $2,000.01 – $5,000 → $100

• $5,000.01 – $10,000 → $200

• $10,000.01 – $20,000 → $400

• $20,000.01 – $50,000 → $1,000

• $50,000.01 – $100,000 → $2,000

Why Selecting a Realistic Declared Value Matters

Declared album value is used solely to determine insurance coverage during return transit.

• If an album is under-declared, insurance coverage may be insufficient to reflect its true market value in the event of loss or damage.

• If an album is over-declared, unnecessary insurance costs may be incurred and could delay processing if values appear inconsistent with market norms.

• Declared value should reflect a reasonable, current fair market value of the album in graded condition.

Selecting an accurate declared value helps ensure appropriate coverage, faster processing, and a smoother return experience.

VMG reserves the right to review declared values that appear materially inconsistent with market pricing for comparable graded records.
